Buchner family holds reunion

Descendents of the the Jacob and William Buchner family held their bi-annual family reunion at the home of Dave and Stitch Olson on beautiful Tainter Lake Oct. 13. 50 people from four different states made an appearance and spent the afternoon catching up on family news while having a wonderful meal.

Coming from Newton, IA were Bob and Bonnie Sudbrink, and from Rolling Meadows, IL were William Sr. and Shirley Waldbuesser. From Minnesota came Arland and Sandy Buchner (Inver Grove Heights), Ron and Jane Buchner (Burnsville), Nancy Thorvilson (Twin Cities) and Jan (Thorvilson) Laukkonen (Twin Cities). Coming from the far side of Wisconsin were Bill and Barb Fagerland (Menomonee Falls) and Steve and Raana Gatza (Shiocton). Family members attending from close by were Aline Buchner and William Jr. and Lecretia Waldbuesser (Bloomer), Eugene Buchner (New Auburn), Tim, Jodi, Brody Cotten and Troy, Shelly, Taylor and Courtney Klatt (Hudson), Ken and Joan Close (Roberts), Tammy Close (Luck), Roger and Ruth Fagerland, Lorraine Miller, John Olson, Linda Piel, Mark, Sandy, Brennan and Ryan Porter and Diane Yaeger (Eau Claire), Otto and Marilyn Waldbuesser and hosts Dave and Stitch (Menomonie) and Dave and Diane Buchner, Al and Marlys Kruger, Kelly Kruger and Sean, Drake and Dillon Knutson (Colfax). At age 91, Lorraine Miller was the oldest of the attendees and Dillon Knutson was the youngest at 11 ½ months.

Despite having Green Bay, Minnesota, and Chicago fans all in the same house, the afternoon was pretty peaceful and everyone had a nice time.
