Rick and Jolene Wester and Jolene’s mother, Merline Rufledt attended Merline’s niece’s wedding in Chicago on September 1st.
Betty Shipley of Barron and her sister, Chett, visited Verna Knowlton on Sunday, Sept. 16.
David Crick of Cullman, Alabama, visited Inez Schrader on Monday, Sept. 17 spending the day at her home.
Elaine Toycen and Swanee Rasmussen visited Adeen Johnson at Autumn Village in Menomonie on Sept. 18 and took Adeen out for noon lunch. They enjoyed a good day of reminiscing.
Floy Ann Lofthus traveled to Godley, Illinois to visit a friend, Ferena Blottiaux. They enjoyed five days together with Floy Ann arriving home in Sand Creek on Sept. 18.
Alice Rae, from Scotland, is in the U.S.A. visiting her son, David and his family, wife Shelly, Megan, Sean and Kayleigh. She arrived on Sept. 18 and will be enjoying an extended stay here in Sand Creek.
Inez Schrader picked up Mary Halvorson at Barron on Sept. 20th to attend the Barron County Retired Teachers meeting at Cumberland with about 70 in attendance.
Sue and Jerry Favero and another couple were Friday evening, Sept. 21, dinner guests of Dan and Mary Lynn Toycen at their home in Chippewa Falls.
Herb and Doris Tallman attended the Memorial Service for Herb’s sister, Arlene. Held at Holcombe on Friday, Sept. 21.
Dan Dietsche of the Twin Cities and Matt Dietsche of Superior came to the Tallman farm on Sept. 22 and stayed over for church on Sunday.
Alice Omtvedt was an honored guest at the 3 p.m. wedding ceremony of Stephani Omtvedt to Adam North at New Hope Lutheran church in Sand Creek on Sept. 22. The parents of the bride are Wayne and Mary Ann Omtvedt.
A number of other guests included at the Omtvedt-North wedding on Sept. 22 were: Gene and Bonnie Peterson, and Herb and Doris Tallman.
Phyllis Hansen Johnson spent a couple of days with Don and Wanda West last week before flying home to Dearborn, Michigan on Sept. 20.
Bonnie Lofthus Peterson attended her 50th Class Reunion from Colfax High School on Saturday evening Sept. 22.
Joanie Williams made three trips to the Rochester Mayo Clinic during the past week.
Susan Carlson of Chippewa Falls took her mother, Avis Hanson out for dinner to the Sand Creek Café on Sept. 22.
Verna Knowlton had her 99th birthday on Sept. 22 with family members coming home to celebrate her special day on Sunday, Sept. 23.
Jean Hanson received news about her cousin, David Trowbridge’s wife, Barb passing away last week. Jean Hanson, Judy Gronning and Barb Plummer made plans to attend the visitation in Shakopee, Minnesota on Sunday, Sept. 23.
Carol Redman made arrangements for the afternoon of Sept. 23, for friends to hear Anita Byle give a talk and show pictures of her new work in Guatemala to open an orphanage for “preemie babies”. Anita had plans to fly to Denver on Monday, Sept. 24 and then on to Seattle to visit her family before returning to Guatemela.
