By LeAnn R. Ralph COLFAX — A 22-year-old man and a 24-year-old man have been arrested in Colfax for stealing property belonging to the Canadian National Railroad.

By LeAnn R. Ralph COLFAX — A 24-year-old man arrested nine times — including once in Colfax — for bail jumping, possession of drugs, theft, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon and retail theft has again been arrested in Colfax.

By LeAnn R. Ralph COLFAX — The Colfax Village Board has approved a five-year capital improvement plan for street repair at a total estimated cost of $1.29 million. The plan “is not set in stone,” said Rick Johnson, village trustee and chair of the village board’s street committee, at the September 23 village board meeting.

By LeAnn R. Ralph COLFAX — Before the Colfax Sesquicentennial celebration next year in July, downtown Colfax will have new banners. The Colfax Village Board approved purchasing the banners for $3,003 at the September 23 meeting, minus $500 that will be contributed by the Colfax Woman’s Club.
