ROSELLA MAES

Rosella Maes left us at the young age of 101 peacefully on Monday July 23, 2018 at Glenhaven Inc. in Glenwood City, WI with hospice.

Rosella was born November 1, 1916 in Glenwood City, WI to Alfred and Mary (Hirsch) Klinger. She attended the Camp Nine School and later went to work in St. Paul, MN as a housekeeper in her late teens. Rosella returned to Glenwood City and later married August Maes where they farmed and raised their four children. Following the death of her husband she moved into a home on Maple Street and later into Glenhaven.

Rosella is preceded in death by her parents, husband August, daughters MaDonna Reese and Mary Ellen Maes, grandchildren Cindy Hetzel, Larry Kerr, Doug and Dan Luepke.

Rosella is survived by daughter Marlene Kerr and friend Sam, son Mark (Audrey) Maes, son-in-law Dwight Reese. Grandchildren Sandy (Rod) Holldorf, Deb (Jim) Gese, Duane (Julie) Reese, Terry (Barb) Kerr, Carey (Brenda) Kerr, Melissa (Chris) Henry and Joe (Amy) Maes. 17 Great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 28, 2018 at St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church in Glenwood City with Father John Long as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Glenwood City. Friends may call at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services. Local arrangements by the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City.

We her family cannot express enough graditude and thanks to the staff of Glenhaven for their compassion and care that was given to Rosella. Also thanks to Dr. Sorenson for all your care.
