LORRAINE E. GOODELL

Lorraine Esther Goodell, age 88 of Wheeler, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Glenhaven Nursing Home in Glenwood City.

Lorraine was born on June 21, 1929 to Albert and Vera (Bible) Larson in Downing. She attended elementary school in Downing and high school in Glenwood City.

On May 8,1948, she married Lynes Goodell and to this union five children were born. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Wheeler and a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Wheeler.

She liked to do cross stitch, knitting and golfing. Lorraine always enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and even had the opportunity to visit Lambeau Field. In later years Lynes and Lorraine traveled to many different destinations across the United States. They celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Stephen Goodell, David (Robin) Goodell, Donald (Jackie) Goodell and Penny Koehler; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters Mona Stevens, Sharon Butler; brother Keith (Carol) Larson; as well as extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Vera, husband Lynes, son Terry, son-in-law Kenneth Koehler, daughter-in-law Renee Goodell, brothers Don, Vern, Jerry and Bud.

A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Grace United Methodist Church in Wheeler with Pastor Craig Conklin officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Hay River Cemetery, Township of Hay River, Dunn County. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
