HELEN LOWRY HENDERSON (WALTERS)

Helen Lowry Henderson (Nana), née Walters, died peacefully August 12, 2017 at Presbyterian Homes in Arden Hills, MN, at the age of 99.

Helen is survived by daughter Patricia Lowry Heiman; grandson Mitchell Heiman; granddaughter Sarah Lis (Brad); great-grandchildren Aiden, Jacqueline, and Meredith, along with stepsons Arnold Henderson (Marlene) and Donald Henderson (Marcia) and their families, as well as many other relatives and friends.  

Nana was born on January 8, 1918 in Jim Falls, Wisconsin to Ida and LE Walters.  She graduated from Colfax high school and later married Norman Lowry.  Following Norman’s death she married Herman Henderson.  Nana enjoyed playing cards and spent many fun summers at the Red Cedar cottage.  She loved to sing and was still reciting poetry in her final days.     

A celebration of her life will be held September 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Johanna Shores, 3200 Lake Johanna Blvd, Arden Hills, MN 55112.
