A turkey takes an airplane ride

BOYCEVILLE — During the Village Board meeting of July 10th, board member Keith Sorensen reported that he had received a call from an Air Traffic controller in Minnesota that a plane that left Boyceville and landed in Minnesota was carrying a passenger.

That passenger was a wild turkey, but Sorensen did not know if the bird arrived alive. He was questioned where it rode and Sorensen speculated that it was in the landing gear.
