WAYNE B. “WIENER” TRONRUD

Wayne B. “Wiener” Tronrud, age 63 of rural Clear Lake, WI, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2016 at the Amery Regional Medical Center.

Wayne Bruce Tronrud was born on July 1, 1953, in Amery, WI, the son of Edwin & Eleanor (Anderson) Tronrud. He grew up in the Clear Lake area, attended school in Connorsville, and graduated from Boyceville High School in 1971. In 1973, Wayne joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1976. Upon his return to Clear Lake, Wayne worked as a “Garbologist” for Community Sanitation and later as a Sanitation Engineer for Waterman’s in Amery for many years. He enjoyed organizing community softball leagues, watching professional wrestling and affectionately became know as “Wiener” for his love of skin on hot dogs and popsicles. In 1985, Wayne inherited his parents’ 80 acre farm where he raised beef cattle, a business that he ran as “Wiener’s Fantasy Ranch”. In his trademark overalls and yellow Chevy Cobalt vehicle, Wayne enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was known for his regularly scheduled trips to various eateries and meeting places in and around the Clear Lake area. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin & Eleanor; his brother Alan; and sister, Susan.

He is survived by his brothers: Dean (Mirasol) Tronrud – Clear Lake, WI and Dale (Evelyn) Tronrud – Eugene, OR; brother-in-law John Didlo – Clam Falls, WI / Center, TX; nieces and nephew Jamie Nelson – Acapulco, Mexico, Kari Ann Nelson (Don Filter) – Eau Claire, WI, and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Tronrud – Clear Lake, WI; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI.  Rev. Mark Woeltge will officiate.    Visitation will be there from 4 – 6 p.m.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday evening at Kisner’s Korner in Connorsville following the Memorial Service.

Burial will be at West Akers Cemetery on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Military Honors by the Clear Lake Area All Veterans Honor Guard.
