ADELAIDE M. DUVAL
Adelaide M. Duval, age 94 of Glenwood City, died Saturday, July 17, 2016 at Glenhaven, Inc. Glenwood City, WI.
Adelaide was born January 28, 1922 in the Township of Forest, St. Croix County to Julius and Louise (Moll) Gluege. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest township and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Clear lake, WI. She attended the Green Creek school and Clear Lake High School.
Adelaide married Milton Duval in 1941. They farmed in the Woodville area before moving to their farm in Forest Township, St. Croix County. To this union 12 children were born. She worked all of her life caring for her home and children. After her children were raised she went to work at the Connorsville store for eleven years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She enjoyed going to the Downing Cafe for coffee with friends. She faithfully attended Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville, WI. Adelaide accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a Lowell Lundstrom crusade in 1977.
Adelaide is survived by 10 children: Douglas Duval (Sara) of Longville, MN; Dianne Thatcher of Downing, WI; Dixie Quinn (Robert) of Knapp, WI; Dennis Duval of Downing, WI; Doris Schmidt (David) of Clear Lake, WI; Danny Duval (Theresa) of Barnes, WI; Franceen Johnson (Richard) of Woodville, WI; Frances Duval of Ellsworth, WI; Mike Duval (Kathy) of Sarona, WI; Rhea Robey of New Auburn, WI; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Adelaide is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lester Gluege and twin brother Reuben Gluege, sisters Margaret Duval and Ida Ziemer, her children’s father Milton Duval, daughters Jeaneen and Donna, grandsons Travis Quinn and Cory Johnson, and son-in-law Mac Robey.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. at Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Grace Lutheran church in Connorsville, WI with Pastor Rose officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jessie Quinn, Ricky Quinn, Kirby Quinn, Jacob Clark, Jason Duval and Scott Duval. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral home in Glenwood City, WI.
