MARCELLA Z. (KIEKHOEFER) PRINSEN

Marcella Z. Prinsen, age 85, of Glenwood City, WI died Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Golden Age Manor in Amery, WI.

Marcella was born September 13, 1930 in Somerset, WI to Herman and Ada (Rosenow) Kiekhoefer. She married Wilmar Prinsen June  27, 1946 and they farmed in the Emerald area until 1960. They moved to a farm in the Glenwood area where they farmed until 1995 when Wilmar died. She continued farming until 2001. Marcella also worked at the Laurel Supper Club for 25 years and for Lund Eggs. She enjoyed playing the accordian, gardening, cooking, the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with family.

Marcella is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilmar, six brothers and four sisters.

Marcella is survived by six sons: Allan and Ann, Arnold, Ernest, Leon and Judy, Carl & Randall and Dawn; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Ernie Kiekhoefer; sisters Evelyn Halvorson and Glendetta Powers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI with Reverend Diane House officiating. Burial was in the Baldwin Cemetery in Baldwin, WI. Friends were able to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until services.
