RUTH I. ZACHARIAS

Ruth I. Zacharias, age 81 of New Richmond, formerly of Connorsville, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond.

She was born the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Krueger) Fromm on July 19, 1932 in Tiffany Township, WI. On September 7, 1957, she married Arnold Zacharias. Ruth liked spending time in her flower garden, watching birds, and doing embroidery. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she loved her cats. Her family will miss all of her Christmas cookies.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dorothy Fromm; husband, Arnold Zacharias; brother, Charles Fromm; and sister, Betty Trader.

Ruth is survived by her children, Bruce Zacharias of New Richmond, WI; Linda (Robert) Follett of Toledo, WA; Lorrie (Terry) Risler of Downing, WI; Louise (Kelly) Steinert of New Richmond, WI; grandchildren, Tyler Zacharias, Tonya Zacharias, Diane (Oscar) Mendez, Elaine (Alex) Fordyce, Elise Follett, Amanda (Tom) Schaffer, Ashley (Jeremy) Wahl, April (fiancé Jim Graese) Risler; five great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Fromm; brother, Roger Fromm; and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel in New Richmond. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 11:00-1:00 p.m. before the service. Private family interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel.
