School District of Colfax announces new Superintendents

Colfax, WI – The Board of Education for the School District of Colfax has selected Paul Blanford and Troy Gunderson to serve as Interim Superintendents for the upcoming school year.  Blanford and Gunderson will combine efforts to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of William Yingst Jr. Blanford and Gunderson are recently retired school superintendents with extensive administrative experience including various interim positions.

The school board has contracted with the Wisconsin Association of School Boards to lead and direct the search for a full-time superintendent with plans for whomever is selected to begin work in July of 2026.

The school board offers Superintendent Yingst its appreciation for his many years of dedication and service to the students, staff, parents and community members of the School District of Colfax and wish him the very best in his retirement.
