Geraldine May Murphy

Geraldine May (Lipovsky) Murphy, formerly of Boyceville, WI. Passed away on August 20, 2024 in Mesa, AZ.

Gerry was born May 4, 1938, in Chicago, IL. To Andrew and Marion (Filipa) Lipovsky. She and her family moved to Boyceville in 1949. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, was confirmed on June 24, 1951. She graduated from Boyceville High School in 1956

Gerry went back to Chicago to pursue a career in the travel industry. First with the airlines and then as a travel agent. She married William J. Murphy on November 16, 1968. After his untimely death in 1972 she moved to Dallas, TX for three years. She moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1976 until her retirement in 1999, then back to Boyceville until moving to Mesa, AZ in 2007.

Gerry enjoyed traveling extensively in the USA and internationally, taking cruises, volunteer ushering at local theaters and spending time with her family and friends around the country.

Gerry is survive by two cousins and other relatives and friends

Gerry is preceded in death by her father and mother, sister Joyce, husband William and partner for ten years Ronald Dollinger

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will be in the Tiffany Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any donations be sent to Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Geraldine L. Murphy’s Memorial Fund, at 612 S. Ellsworth Road, Mesa, AZ 85208
