WESTconsin Credit Union to host summer food drive and celebrate June Dairy Month

WESTERN, WI—Hunger doesn’t take summer vacation. Kids are often provided breakfast and lunch throughout the school year, so food banks face their greatest need for donations during the summer months. To help kids and other community members during summer vacation, WESTconsin Credit Union is hosting the School’s Out Summer Food Drive. June 3-15, all WESTconsin offices will collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations to be distributed to local food pantries and organizations across the credit union’s service area. Last year, WESTconsin collected 740 food items and raised over $4,250.

As members and community members visit WESTconsin offices to donate to the School’s Out Summer Food Drive, they are also invited to celebrate June Dairy Month! Originally opening in 1939 to serve local farmers, agriculture is at the heart of WESTconsin Credit Union. To celebrate the farmers and agricultural workers who work tirelessly to feed our communities this June Dairy Month, members are invited to visit their local WESTconsin office all month long to enter in a prize drawing and pick up dairy-themed goodies.

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939.
