What did you expect?
I would like to address this question to all of you folks who voted for the Biden-Harris team last November. What did you expect?
Did you expect that on his first day in office, Biden would eliminate 40,000 high-paying American jobs by rescinding permits for the Keystone XL Pipeline? Did you expect to see high prices, at the gas pump, at the grocery store, at your favorite eating establishment? Did you expect to pay a fortune to buy a couple of two by fours? Did you expect to see so few new cars in dealers’ lots? Did you expect to see the price for a stamp for on first class letter go up?
But, one thing for sure is that I expected to see this administration spending millions and trillions of dollars and my tax load would increase and that debt will be on the shoulders of your grandchildren and mine.
Back to the pipeline, and after Biden cut the Keystone XL into dust, he voiced his approval for Vladimir Putin’s plan to build a similar pipeline through Russia and Germany that will only strengthen Russia’s influence over the gas supply in Europe.
I watched the meeting between Putin and Biden last week in Geneva and I could not find anything that was in our favor. It looks like to me that, that meeting only improved Putin’s standing on the world stage.
So, let’s pray for Joe Biden, he is our president and he must survive. There was an interesting piece on the opinion page of the St. Paul Pioneer Press of June 10, written by John Kass, a columnist for the Chicago Tribune, and I quote:
“There is one takeaway from watching Vice President Kamala Harris’ horrifying interview on NBC about whether she’ll visit our southern border to see the crisis with her own eyes:
“President Joe Biden must endure until 2024, Please God, please.
“And, I’m asking every American, even Democrats to pray that Biden endures. He must endure, even if it means we have to suffer through his fading and increasingly creaky Uncle Joe act.
“Old Uncle Joe, he’s a-moving kinda slow, we can handle. But under our laws there is a backup to Biden: President Kamala Harris.
“Please God, no.”
Harris went into a hand and arm-waving event in her interview with Lester Holt after he asked if she was going to visit our southern border. Remember, Biden put her in charge of the crises at the border almost three months ago.
“Do you have any plans to visit the border?” Holt asked her.
She answered, with hands waving, “At some point, you know, we are going to the border. We’ve been to the border, so this whole thing is about the border, we’ve been to the border.”
“You haven’t been to the border,” Holt stated.
Harris responded, “And I haven’t been to Europe,” laughing and waving her hands. “I mean, I don’t understand the point you are making. I’m not discounting the importance of the border.”
Kass concluded his piece with, “The world is a dangerous place. Predatory nations and allies look for weak leaders out of their depth. And the interview revealed Vice President Harris as unprepared.
“President Biden must endure until 2024, Please God, please.”
I must add that he must survive until January 20, 2025.
