Laura Kincade
Just into her second year of a two-year term on the Boyceville Village Board, Laura Kincade has sent a letter to the village president announcing her resignation from the board.
Kincade sites that she is moving out of the village and can no longer serve on the board.
In her letter, she states: “I have truly enjoyed my short time on the board, and wish I didn’t have to resign. I don’t think you will have much trouble filling my position with someone that will take great pride in the community, and be able to be more invested.”
The village board at their meeting Monday evening, June 14, accepted Kincade’s resignation with Village President Lukas Montgomery informing the board that he had talked to a village resident about filling the remainder of Kincade’s term, but noted the person had not gotten back to him. The board pondered a couple of other names, but delayed the appointment of someone to fill that position until next month.
