CAROYL LEE MAY

Caroyl Lee May passed away at The Neighbors of Dunn County on Saturday, May 15, 2021, after fighting a battle with cancer.

Caroyl was born in 1943, to Irene G. Hoven and Murray May, of Boyceville, Wisconsin.  Her father preceded her in death in 1962, and her mother married H. Lloyd Ellefson.  The family then moved to Minneapolis where Mr. Ellefson was employed.

Caroyl graduated from High School in Minneapolis and went on to graduate from the Robinson Beauty School in 1966.  She practiced hair styling in Minneapolis before returning to the area and setting up her own salon known as “Hair”, in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

Caroyl was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather.  She is survived by many cousins, both in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Sarah Miller officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Christ Lutheran Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
