Are you concerned?
Are you concerned about the counting of our ballots in the November 3rd Presidential election? Over the years that I have voted, I have never worried about someone changing the results of an election by doctoring ballots. But I have questions about this coming election.
Last Friday morning while I was having breakfast in front of the television a report came on that over 18 million people have already voted.
There are stories out there about election misdealing, missing ballots and one local story has it that a person who recently move from the Glenwood City area to another state cast his ballot and then learned from election officials that there was an error in his ballot and was sent a second ballot and he voted again. My question is what happened to the first ballot? He reported that he voted for Biden on both ballots.
I know that I received information about early voting, or requesting an absentee ballot. But I just discarded that pile of information knowing that I will do as I always have, and go to the polling place on Tuesday, November 3rd. I must relate that I have voted in every election that I was eligible to do so, except one and I always went to the polling place. I like the paper ballot over those new fangled electronic devices. Any of us that have used an electronic device, like a computer, know that they can and do malfunction and lose information. I like holding that sheet of paper and reviewing just how I voted and if there is a question when ballots are counted, the vote is right on that sheet of paper for all the poll workers to view.
In 2016 only 55.9 percent of the eligible voters in the United States voted in the presidential election and according to a web site that I visited this time could be a record, with our growing population, some of which apparently came in as immigrants. One report indicated that Texas has 1.8 million more voters this year than it did four years ago. Moved in from California did they?
I have never been in favor of sending everyone with a mailbox a ballot. Just how many would not get retuned with only 55 percent of the population voting and how many ballots would I get in my mailbox. How would the post delivery person know how many voters reside in any home, or my box at the post office, would I have several ballots? And then I could vote more than once. How could those ballots be verified?
The Democrats in congress want to add at least two more states (Washington D. C. and Puerto Rico) with the thought that they could gain Democratic Senators and congress people so they can rule the Congress for the next century.
I am a firm believer that the Democrats want to keep minorities in poverty so that they become dependent on the federal government for support and those people will continue to vote for the people that opened up the government check-book.
There are two questions that need to be answered before the November 3rd election. The one big one is about packing the Supreme Court and does Joe Biden support that move?
And, right now there is an old computer that has been found that contains e-mails linking Joe Biden and his family to the Ukraine. The New York Post claimed that it had obtained a smoking gun, emails about Hunter Biden and his dealings in Ukraine. We need to know if these emails are creditable or just a made up story to damage a candidate as the election nears. If you remember four years ago the Russia hoopla surfaced and it took years before we found out that it was just some made up information by a couple that were never Trumpers.
But, one thing we need to know, did the Biden family enrich themselves with dealing with foreign identities while Joe was vice-president?
Thanks for reading! ~Carlton
