White people, give up your homes and checkbooks!
Over the last week as the Democratic national convention was getting underway and a couple of unrelated news items were broadcast that was very distrubing to me.
First was the report that came over on a television video showing protesters out west that were demanding, ”Give up your house? Give black people back their homes: Black Lives Matter protest in Seattle are demanding white people give up their homes.”
Like the rest of you, my wife and I worked hard to purchase and take care of our home and it will be over my dead body before I give it up to some one who has not put sweat into home ownership.
Those asking, “Give Black People Back Their Homes” relates to me that they have no knowledge of history. If we must give our home back to someone, it would be the Native Americans, because they were here for a long time before the whites, blacks or yellow-skinned people came and drove them off their land.
The government has opened its pocket book to help those in need, but the more the government tries to help, the more people there are at the soup line. The government has made it so people are dependent on the government and not on their own hard work. Now having said that, I will be the first to admit that there are people, who for one reason or another can’t take care of themselves and it is our Christian duty to see that their needs are met.
I might say to those who are making all the noise, protesting, rioting, burning and looting, is that they get out of that line and find a job to take care of their needs and that of their families and stop thinking that you have the right to ask some other people to fund your lifestyle.
And, then comes Hawk Newsome, chairman of the New York Black Lives Movement, who wants money from us, and he went on television and made this demand. “If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down the system and replace it.” Newsome defended looters while comparing the United States to terrorists during a heated exchange with FOX News Anchor Martha MacCallum, after Rudy Giuliani urged President Trump to declare the group (BLM) a domestic terrorist organization.
Now that is another guy that needs to look for work and stop thinking that anyone alive today, had anything to do with holding his ancestors in slavery. But like I have said before, I had two great-grandfathers that served in the Union Army during the Civil War and helped free the colored people. Should I not be rewarded for their action? But then, I am not going to stand up and demand payment or else I will burn something.
Let everybody get together and kiss and make up and make America Great again.
