MOTORCYCLISTS INJURED — A driver of a motorcycle and his passenger received injuries when they crashed during a drive along Rustic Road 3 last Saturday afternoon, May 2 in the Town of Springfield. Glenwood City Fire and Ambulance Services responded to the scene of the accident which occurred 2:48 p.m. about a half mile north of the Glen Hills Golf Course. The report from the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, Kenneth J. Gaustad, 59 of Hammond, the driver of the 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, lost control when his passenger, Mary C. Gaustad, also 59 of Hammond, shifted her position on the motorcycle while taking a turn which caused the motorcycle to skid on some sand and enter the east ditch. Both people received injuries in the crash but only Mary Gaustad was transported to Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin for treatment. No citations were issued. —photo by Shawn DeWitt
