The Boyceville Village Board will have two new faces on it after the election results were announced on Tuesday, afternoon April 14th. The new board will take their chairs next Tuesday, April 21st at a special meeting of the board.
Six people were running for the three open seats on the Village Board including two incumbents, Jonathan Farrell and Keith Sorensen, while the third incumbent, Trudie Chernak, chose not to seek another two-year term on the board.
Megan Mittlestadt and Laura Kincade will replace Sorensen and Chernak on the board with Farrell being re-elected.
The vote total is as follows: Mittlestadt, 164; Kincade, 112; Farrell. 110; Sorensen, 61; Michael Roy Ludwig, 38; and Robert Rieckenberg, 19. There were three write-in votes.
The election results were not made available until a week after the April 7th election as the state allowed write-in voters another week to get their ballots into the local election officials.
