829th ENGINEERING UNIT — Three soldiers from Colfax and Elk Mound deployed with the Army National Guard’s 829th Engineering Unit out of Spooner with a detachment in Ashland. A send off was held in Spooner on Saturday, October 19, and a parade was held Sunday October 20. Around 150 soldiers deployed.
