BOYCEVILLE — The Boyceville Community School District welcomed two new members to their staff for the 2019-20 school year.
Gretchen Pederson joins Boyceville as a middle school counselor and Hannah Downer-Carlson is serving as an Elementary Special Education teacher at Tiffany Creek.

GRETCHEN PEDERSON
Gretchen Pederson is from Eau Galle, with a hopeful move to Wheeler in the coming months, and is married with two daughters.
She is originally from the Elk Mound/Eau Claire area, and graduated in 2007 from Elk Mound High School.
Pederson attended UW-Eau Claire and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Psychology. In 2013, she earned her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from UW-Stout.
She will step into the position of Middle School Counselor in the Boycveille District. Before coming to Boyceville, Pederson worked for iForward Online Charter Schools and the Cochrane-Fountain City Schools.
“I am excited about the opportunity to pursue this job for a few reasons,” explained Pederson. “It’s in a rural community, which I am familiar with and prefer. It also allowed me to be a part of a counseling team.”
Pederson is excited to be part of the Boyceville community as it allows her to be closer to her family after she has driven extended commutes for many years and looks forward to less time in a vehicle.

HANNAH DOWNER-CARLSON
Hannah Downer-Carlson joins the Special Education department at Tiffany Creek Elementary for the 2019-20 school year.
She is currently residing in Menomonie, but is orginally from Roseville, MN where her family still lives.
She graduated from Irondale High School in 2009, and in 2016 Downer-Carlson received her a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from UW-Stout.
“I did my student teaching at Tiffany Creek and fell in love with the school,” said Downer-Carlson. “I loved the staff, the community, and how they truly care for their teachers, students, and the families of those students!”
Downer-Carlson said she is honored to be working for a wonderful school district.
