Dale E. Johnson

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dale E. Johnson Jr., age 67 of Glenwood City, WI who died in a tragic motorcycle accident on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Dale was born on October 16, 1957, to Dale E. Johnson Sr. and Harriette Loch Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale E. Johnson Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Dale & Blanche Johnson; and his maternal grandparents, Charles & Ann Loch.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Corrine Johnson; his son, Jeremiah (Jessie) Turner; his granddaughter, Veronica Turner; his mother, Harriette Johnson; his sister, Dianna (Chad Kettler) Fiergola; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Dale loved all things athletic. He played both football and hockey during his time in school in Northfield, MN, and his love for sports remained a constant throughout his life. He found joy in outdoor activities, especially ice fishing and hunting with his son and cousins in the north woods near Spring Brook and Hayward, where his parents had roots. These were cherished times that Dale held dear.

Dale’s love for adventure extended beyond the ice, from Elko Speedway to Michigan International Speedway—Dale and his family formed a bond over their shared passion—memories that will last a lifetime. As a child & teenager he and his dad were frequently found cheering on the MN Northstars and St Paul Saints hockey teams.

A proud member of Laborers Local 268, Dale spent many years working on the pipeline across multiple states. He took great pride in his work, knowing that it allowed him to support his family while traveling and seeing different parts of the country.

Dale was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and one of the highlights of his year was always Indian Bike Week, where he would meet up with friends to enjoy the camaraderie and excitement of the event. On weekends, he could often be seen cruising the scenic back roads of Wisconsin, embracing the freedom of the open road.

As a husband, father, and son, Dale was deeply devoted to his family. His warmth, humor, and loving nature will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI. The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a noon service followed by a luncheon at The Pump House in Downing, WI.
