I am old enough to remember when Pluto was a planet!

I am old enough to remember when living in this society was of great joy. You knew who lived in the house next to you and also who lived down the street.

We all gathered together in our back yards to discuss the doings of the day. You gathered and talked politics without getting upset or mad at each other, you were involved with family and friends and came to their aid when they needed you.

You came home after work, not fearing that some burglar would crash into your home late at night. Now I worry about the government crashing into my home. You never worried about what was happening on the other side of the world, even during the Korean War, when I was a young kid; my folks and I were not concern that it would expand into our neighborhood.

At every turn we did not have someone trying to shove their beliefs down our mouth or up our you know what!

But, one thing that has improved is the relationship between religious groups. When I was young, many of my friends were members of a different church than I was. I would never have been invited into their church service. I am happy to report that today I would feel welcomed at any church service in my community and have had that experience, thank God.

But, things have changed, and maybe not for the better. We now have dozens and dozens of groups who need to shove their way of life onto me. Of all the groups or government programs for all kinds of groups including minorities that have some sort of program to help them when in need, and that is alright, but what about us old white folks. We have been left out. We get the blame for every ailment.

Cassie Flynn, who is the Global Director of Climate Change at the United Nations, was seen on TV saying that climate change was because of the white people.

Mike Rowe, famous for his “Dirty Jobs”, TV show wrote the following about Affinity Graduate Ceremonies at Harvard.

“This year, Harvard is once again permitting its students to observe graduation day with a series of ‘affinity celebrations.’ These celebrations allow students to separate themselves from each other based on their racial and ethnic identities, and then, celebrate graduation with their own kind. I’m old enough to remember when this was called segregation’. At Harvard, they call it ‘affinity.’

“To be fair”, Rowe, stated, “Harvard’s website says these celebrations are not in lieu of the official graduations, and open to all students who pre-register. But the celebrations themselves are clearly labeled, and the invitees are hard to misconstrue. Among those events listed, are Latinix Celebration, The Black Celebration, The Arab Celebration, The Jewish Celebration, The Global Indigenous Celebration, The Lavender Celebration, (LGBTQ, etc,) The Asian American Celebration, and my personal favorite, The First-Generation Low-Income Celebration.

“What better way to celebrate Harvard’s rich commitment to diversity, then by encouraging diverse groups to celebrate separately?” Rowe concluded.

Looking over the list of groups that are celebrating, I could not find a group for white students, so they are left to fend for themselves again.

According to information that I could put together, there are about 1.6 million Americans over 13 that identify as transgender, and over 200 million that identify as Christians and I assume celebrate Easter.

So, what does our President, Joe Biden do on Easter Day? He makes a Proclamation proclaiming “Transgender Day of Visibility.” He could have found a different day.

So now we have the Cartoon Network getting involved. That network whose animated programming caters primarily to children and young viewers, has publicly voiced support for the “Transgender Day of Visibility,” which took over Easter Sunday this year. In an instagram post the network offered adulation to what it called it’s “transgender and gender non-conforming family.”

So, it looks like to me that we will have our pre-school kids subject to transgender education and change he and she to they and them and confuse those young ones about what sex they are.
