CLAIRE DOROTHY TROOLINES

Claire Dorothy Troolines passed away peacefully Monday, January 22, 2018 at Glenhaven in Glenwood City, Wisconsin at 91 years of age.

She was born on July 17, 1926, to Alex and Valida Gagnon in Lake Linden, Michigan.  She attended the Lake Linden Hubbell School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Valida, husband, John Troolines, stepson James Troolines, sister Marie Rheault, and sister Arlene Bjorklund.  She is survived by sister Jean Parker of Lake Linden, Michigan, daughters, Roselynn (Herb) Luks formerly of Glenwood City, Wisconsin, Rosalie Rothstein of Cable, Wisconsin, stepson John (Kathie) Troolines of Lake Isabella, California, grandchildren, Michelle Luks of Wilson, Melissa (Andrew) Schmidt of Marshfield, Wisconsin, Marlys (Xavier) Haro of Golden Valley, Minnesota, Michael (Julie) Luks of New Richmond, Greg, Amanda Dashofy, Laura Troolines of California, Kelly (Nick) Guthrie, Amy Troolines of Michigan. Greatgrandchildren, Alex, Adrian Haro, Charlotte Luks, Tyler, Anabelle Guthrie and Savannah, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy worked at Cadillac Division of General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. She married John Troolines July 31,1971. Upon both retiring, they traveled extensively throughout the U.S. with their travel trailer. Dorothy enjoyed being with family and friends, watching birds, country music, Johnny Cash, John Wayne movies and Lawrence Welk. She was noted by all to have the most welcoming big smile, a happy disposition and never a complainer.  

A memorial service to honor Claire Dorothy Troolines will be held in the summer.  Many thanks to the staff at Glenhaven in Glenwood City, Wisconsin for their professional care and compassion.  The family deeply appreciate the care and kindness shown to Dorothy with special thanks to Dr. Tom Fields, Western Wisconsin Health, present and past Glenhaven employees Ally Stuart, Al Anderson, Nola Tyrell, Julie Shone, Doris Berends, Cate Wright, Becky Fasbender,  Kaela Jacobson, Lindsey Manier and many thanks to the CNA’s for their very hard work on household “C” Sunset View, kitchen staff and cleaning staff included and Kathy Rott. Also a special thanks to Kathie Troolines of Lake Isabella, California who has always available and willing to help John and Dorothy and the family.
