ORLIN EUGENE WIENKE

Orlin Eugene Wienke, 78, of Hudson, WI passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 in his home.

Visitation will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville, WI at 10:00AM on Saturday October 21, 2017. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00AM. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI.

Orlin was born in New Haven Township to William and Milda Wienke on December 29, 1938. He was baptized on January 22, 1939 at Grace Lutheran Church.

He married Velma on November 10, 1972 in Watertown, South Dakota. He worked at NSP for a number of years and then worked at Koch Asphalt for a number of years where he then retired. He was a veteran and served in the Army of United States where he achieved the status of expert Rifleman and was Honorably Discharged December 31, 1967. 

Orlin was known for his meticulous organizational skills having every NFL score written in his notebook and knowing every gas price in St. Croix County on any given day. Orlin truly enjoyed spending time feeding the animals at his home and spending time with family and friends.

Orlin is preceded in death by wife, Velma Wienke; parents, William and Milda Wienke; grandson, Frederick Pittman; and many other friends and family. 

Orlin is survived by children Ronald (Deborah) Pittman, Donald (Judy) Pittman; brother Gerald Wienke; sister Shirley (Dennis) Vetvick; grandchildren Greg Pittman, Dave (Chris) Pittman, Angie (Adam) VanRanst, Joseph (Malissa) Pittman; great-grandchildren Ben Pittman, Joshua Pittman, Zachary Pittman, Alexis Pittman, Allison VanRanst, Sawyer Pittman, Shiann Nerby, Cherokee Norell; nieces, nephews, and friends as well as dog Daisy Mae.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Pittman, Joseph Pittman, Randy Wienke, and David Pittman.
