Grace Claire Hall, 76, of Colfax, Wisconsin died on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at her room in the Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on May 7th, 1941 in Calumet City, IL to George and Clara Grzelak.
She married Clifford “Cliff” Hall (passed 2009) in Calumet City, IL on July 1, 1961 and spent 48 happy years together. The couple lived in Schererville, IN before moving to Crystal Falls, MI in November of 1976. She moved to Colfax, WI in 2009 after her husband died to be closer to family.
Grace worked a wide variety of jobs from grocery store clerk to newspaper editor. Of course the toughest was being a mom to three boys.
She was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls, MI and was a member of the parish board and taught CCD for several years.
She loved living in Upper Michigan and enjoyed the solitude, it lead her to writing several novels.
When Cliff was alive she enjoyed camping and going to the casino.
Grace is survived by her three sons; Shawn (Linda) Hall of Virgil, NY, Vincent (Nikki) Hall of Elk Mound, WI and Michael (Karen) Hall of Madison, WI; sister Roseann Griner of Calumet City, IL; grandchildren, Joshua(Sue) Hall of Eau Claire, WI, Dominic and Christian Hall of Elk Mound, WI, Mychael(Leah) Hall of Iron Mountain, MI; greatgrandson, Caiden Hall of Eau Claire, WI; nieces, Kystal (Danny) Munoz of Highland, IN and Jessica Griner of Calumet City, IL; close cousins, Ted (Fran) & Gene (Laura) & Rich Wozniakowski of Cedar Lake, IN; close friend Sheila Deilke of Colfax, WI; and her beloved four legged friend Sam.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cliff; parents, George & Clara Grzelak; brother, Donald Grzelak; brother-in-law, Steve Griner.
A funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie, WI on Thursday, 28 September 2017. Fr. James Kurzynski offered the Mass of Christian Burial. Grace requested no visitation.
