ANISSA KAY MATTISON
Anissa Kay Mattison, age 46, passed peacefully on September 13, 2017 at Glenhaven in Glenwood City, WI.
She was born on August 16, 1971 to Kenneth and Delaney Mattison and lived her entire life in Connorsville, WI. Anissa graduated from Boyceville High School in 1989 and attended one year at UW-Stout where she studied Creative Arts. Afterwards she pursued a career in human resource management and accounting with over 20 years of experience in payroll and customer service. During this time she worked for Wiseway Transportation, SGI, Kadingers and Samara Soulutions. Through her business, Samara Soulutions, she worked as a certified life coach and was also a legal advocate.
Her life-long love of art showed through in her many and varied interests in painting, sculpture, wood crafts, and sewing. Often her various projects were used as fundraisers for things about which she was passionate. This included numerous ministries and charities such as the Clark and Dunn Counties Humane Associations, Feeding My Starving Children, Porter Place Ministries, Relay for Life and orphanages in Africa, Bolivia, and China. She also inspired people with her inspirational blog and newsletters. A trip to orphanages in Bolivia was described as “the best trip” of her life. Her passions also included Ireland and Celtic music.
Anissa was baptized and confirmed at West Akers Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and served as Sunday School superintendent for a time.
