LEE ALAN LAVALLEY

Lee Alan LaValley, age 43 of Emerald, died September 5, 2017 from complications of a heart attack at Regions Hospital with his family by his side.

Lee was the son of Robert and Brenda (Johnson) LaValley, and was born in Des Moines, Iowa on August 12, 1974.  He moved to River Falls with his family in May 1980.  He graduated from River Falls High School in 1992.  Lee met Deann Logterman in 1996 and they married October 10, 1998. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Collin and Alayna.  They resided in the area, and moved to the Town of Emerald in 2000.

Lee was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, and friend of many.  He enjoyed working on and flying RC (Radio Control) airplanes, and he spent many hours of fun and competition with his “flying friends.”  He also enjoyed the outdoors:  hunting (bow and gun), snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, fishing, shooting, and teaching his children these activities, too. He loved attending his childrens’ events and coaching and supporting them.

Computers were a huge part of his professional life, and he currently was the Information Systems Manager of Lindus Construction in Baldwin.

Lee is survived by his wife, Deann; son, Collin; and daughter, Alayna; his parents, Robert and Brenda LaValley of River Falls; his sister, Heather (Jason) Biggs and children of Spring Valley; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norm and Mary Logterman of Emerald; brother-in-law Nathan (Heather) and family of Neenah, WI; brother-in-law Nevin (Kari) and family of Baldwin; grandmother, Velma Johnson of Bemidji, MN; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert W. Johnson, Carl LaValley, Dorothy LaValley; and his uncle, Michael J. Johnson.

We encourage anyone to bring photos, memories, and stories of Lee to leave with the family.
