Tim worked as the District Technical and Building Support person for the Columbia Heights School District, Columbia Heights, MN for almost 20 years. He used his computer knowledge to program his work computer to control the heating and cooling systems, lights, etc. for all the buildings from his home.
More recently Tim took a strong interest in flying remote-control helicopters and small planes. Students at the school were very interested in Tim’s flying. He told them “if you bring your grades up, I’ll teach you how to fly”. He also served as the Treasurer for the Minnesota Remote Helicopter Association.
