2017 Boyceville “Cucumber Run” results listed
BOYCEVILLE — Six coveted, handmade “Pickle” trophies were presented to the winners at the 17th annual Cucumber run held Saturday, August 19 during the 2017 Cucumber Festival.
The men and women victors in the 1 mile run/walk, 5K and 10K races were awarded a Pickle Trophy.
In the women’s 1 mile Emma Bartz took first with a time of 6:36, Kendra Schmidt place second in 12:47 and Melody Schmidt came in third with a time of 12:54. On the men’s side, Riley Krall took the title with a 7:45, second place went to Matt Rydel after running a 8:07 followed closely by Parker Coombs, who was clocked in 8:08.
Mitch Pustol topped the men’s 5K race turning in a time of 20:16, Ed Reitz was second at 20:55 and Cade Klefstad finished third with a 22:10. In the ladies 5K, Shiann Wagner won the event with a time of 24:26, Shannon Windsor was second with a 26:13 and Naomi Hillman ran to third in a time of 27:14.
The men’s 10K title went to Earl Blodgett as he finished with a 43:43, Tanner Johnson-Hetchler was the runner-up in a time of 43:58 and Derrick Oberle placed third after running a 45:01. Colleen O’Leary copped the ladies’ 10K crown in a time of 47:34, Karlee Hefti came in second at 57:56 and Tara Graff took third with a time of 1:03:15.
