GARY JO SIKORA

Gary Jo Sikora, 50, formerly of Colfax, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Lakeview Hospital in Rice Lake, WI. Gary was born December 12th, 1966 to Bernadine and Donald Sikora in Bloomer and grew up in Colfax, WI.

Gary loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman just like his father. He learned to work hard and enjoy farming along with his father and brothers. Gary played football with the Colfax Vikings and was so very proud to have gone to state in 1984 and was named to the all-conference team. He enjoyed cheering on the Packers and Brewers, especially in the company of his family. Above everything else, Gary loved his parents, brothers, sisters and his entire extended family.

He is survived by his mother, Bernadine (Bohl) Sikora of Chippewa Falls; his two brothers, Gerald (Jake) (wife-Roxie) of Colfax, Jeff (Shirley) of Colfax; four sisters, Rhonda (David) Adams of Chippewa Falls, Sandy (Pete) Sarauer of Bloomer, Donna (Dave) Johnson of Saint Paul, MN and Lori (Terry) Beranek of Colfax.

Gary was proceeded in death by his father, Donald L. Sikora; grandparents, Andrew and Lillian Bohl, Simon and Lenora Sikora.

A Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley. Visitation was held at church from 9 a.m. until time of mass. Gary was laid to rest next to his father at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
