NORMA J. HELLENDRUNG

Norma J. Hellendrung, age 85, of Knapp, WI passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Mayo clinic Health System in Menomonie.

She was born March 10, 1932 to Edwin and Amelia (Shafer) Erickson.  

On June 25, 1948 Norma married Byron Hellendrung.  She farmed with her husband and family for many years.  Norma also worked at Hearty Platter in Wilson for years.  She was a great cook and made homemade bread and buns that were the best.  She also enjoyed going to the casino in Turtle Lake.  

Norma got her wish of staying at home, with granddaughter Angie’s care and special thanks to Brandi Curvello.  

Norma is survived by her daughter Pam (Steve) Palmer; grandchildren, Troy Hellendrung, Tracey Wilmot, Angie (Steve) Hoffman and Chad (Tanya) Link; great-grandchildren, Garett Hoffman, Riley Hoffman, Brayden Link, Austin Hellendrung and Clint Musgrove; her sister Louise Roemhild; sisters-in-law Marlys Galoff and Corrine Hellendrung; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Byron; son Gary and infant son Steven; sisters, Eleanor and Elaine; brothers, LeRoy, Don and Bob; and special friend Don Borchert.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Kristine Stedje officiating.  There will be visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Teegarden Cemetery in the Town of Lucas, Dunn Co. WI.
