JEAN MARCIA (CUMMINGS) MILLER
Jean Marcia (Cummings) Miller, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 5, 2017.
Jean was born on November 14, 1926 in the town of Ojibwa, WI. As a young girl her family moved to Fall City, WI. On April 1, 1945, Jean married her best friend and the love of her life Rodger H. Miller. Together they raised 5 children during their 72 years of marriage.
Jean worked at the family store in Fall City and often assisted her dad who was the tax assessor. She and Rodger also ran the store when first married. Later they built a home south of Elk Mound where they reside yet today. Jean worked at Luther Hospital and Midelfort Clinic for a combined total of 30 years. She treasured her time on the obstetrics unit taking care of the mothers and their newborn babies.
Jean was the Sunday school superintendent for many years at the Fall City Church and Amy Chapel. A position she enjoyed and she was appreciated by all for her devotion. She and her family often boarded visiting missionaries. She taught 4-H cooking classes for many years. She also spent many hours watching her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports.
Jean and Rodger enjoyed traveling and visited 48 states and Canada. They spent several winter’s in Arizona. Summers were spent camping on Chetek, either fishing, playing cards or spending time with family and friends.
Jean is survived by her loving husband Rodger, daughters Nicky (Gary) Cummings Elk Mound, Dianne (Wayne) Myers, Menomonie, Jacky (Dan) Stewart, Fall Creek and Camil Miller, Menomonie, Daughter-in-law Nancy Miller, Eau Claire.
Nine Grandchildren: Tim (Kelly) Miller, Appleton, WI, Shannon (Jim) Denzine of Thorp WI, Tammy (Jimmy) Klatt of Webster, Ranae Stewart, Mondovi, Melissa (Pat) Pritchard, Menomonie, Cheryl Cummings (Ryan Reed) Stillwater, OK, Ryan Cummings, Stillwater, OK, Kyrah (Kevin) Klika, Chippewa Fall, WI, Jason (Courtney), Eau Claire, WI.
Eleven Great grandchildren, Ashley Retzloff, Zach Haig, Kaitlyn Miller, Carter Pritchard, Wyatt Denzine, Elizabeth Hanson, Makayla Denzine, Kennedy Pritchard, Kannon Klika, Ava and Avery Beaulieu and one great great grandchild Aubrey Harville.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Rial and Arminta Cummings, brothers, Maurice, Milford and baby Norman, sister, Vedia and beloved son Rod Miller.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., April 10, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home with Dwayne Winterberg officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at Olson’s Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Forest Center Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
