Irwin R. Hubbard, 75, of Colfax, passed away suddenly on January 21, 2017, at his residence. 

Irwin was born in Durand, WI on January 3, 1942, a son to Russell Lee and Dora Marie (Schumacher) Hubbard.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and baking for his family and friends. Irwin served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked at Uniroyal and retired from Silcann Container in Menomonie in 2004.

Irwin is survived by his wife, Marilyn “Judy” Hubbard; daughters, Jenny Hubbard and Katherine Ausmond; brother, Maynard (Amy) Hubbard of Durand; sister, Brenda Cornwell of Durand; nephew, Joe Fisher (special friend, Lori) of Durand; niece, Jan (Jeff) Hayden of Mondovi; nephew, Tyrone (Bethany) Hubbard of Eau Claire; great nephews, Austin, Levi, and Hayden; great nieces, Jocelyn Hayden and Sophie Hubbard; brother-in-law, Darrell (Evelyn) Longdo and family of Oconomowoc, WI; sisters-in-law, Patricia Longdo and family of Colfax, Carol Heidtke and family of Waterloo, WI, Kay Knutson and family of Colfax; brother-in-law, Robert (Nancy) Longdo and family of Augusta. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Merle Longdo and DeWayne Longdo. 

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 E Railroad Ave, Colfax, WI, with Pastor Ron Wik officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax, with Military Honors conducted by the Russell-Toycen American Legion Post 131.
