BETTY L. (ALLRAM) LEE
Betty L. Lee, nee Allram, age 87 of Glenwood City WI and formerly of Eau Claire, WI passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Glenhaven with hospice.
Betty was born August 10, 1929 in Dunn County, WI to Edwin and Ida (Score) Allram. She graduated from Prairie Farm High School and later from Dunn County Normal Teachers College. She was one of the few remaining one room schoolhouse teachers.
Betty served Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Glenwood City as secretary for more than 25 years. Betty married Selvin Grant Lee on June 10, 1950.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Selvin, sister Joan Patricia Allram, brothers-in-law Orland and Donald Lee, Hjalmer Johnson and sister-in-law Gladys Johnson.
Betty is survived by 3 daughters and one son: Rita (Peter) Van Stelle of Altoona, WI, Joan (John) Cassellius of Boyceville, WI, Pamela (Donald) Edwards of Longville, MN and Steven (Julie) Lee of Glenwood City, WI; 12 grandchildren: Tammy (Garry) Hanley of Anchorage, AK, Jessica (Clint) Hooppaw of Apple Valley, MN, Jennifer (Kelly) Lagerstrom of Downing, WI,. John (Emily) Cassellius of Winona, MN, Jeffrey (Katie) Cassellius of Woodbury, MN, Jeremy (Angie) Cassellius Boyceville, WI, Sarah Moore of St. Paul, MN, Timothy (Emily) Moore II of Minneapolis, MN, Alice (Andrew) Slaikeu of Minneapolis, MN, Laura Lee of Downing, WI, Daniel (Meghan) Lee of Menomonie, WI and Michael Lee of Antioch, TN; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters Audrey (Morris) Brumberg of Altoona, WI and Barbara Karlan of Zionsville, IN; brother Gary (Connie) Allram of Ridgeland, WI; sisters-in-law Carol Lee of Colfax, WI and Barbara Lee of Eau Claire, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI with Reverend Diane House officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood City, WI. Friends were able to call at the church on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. Local arrangements by the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI.
