JERRY ALLEN HOFFMAN
Jerry Allen Hoffman, age 59, of Downing, WI went to heaven on Sunday October 23, 2016 at home.
Jerry was born October 8, 1957 in Menomonie, WI to William and Mabel (Voeltz) Hoffman. He graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1976 and on May 5, 1979 Jerry married Cheryl Booth at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI. They were blessed with two children Nathan and Tammy and four grandchildren.
Upon graduating Jerry went to work for Steneman Concrete and Rusk Implement before moving to Downing, WI and settling into a life of farming. Jerry loved the farming life and many other interests during his life. He enjoyed tractor pulling, horseback riding (loved his riding trip to Medora, ND with his treasured friends), hunting, snowmobiling and a little traveling. He made many wonderful friends throughout the years.
Jerry loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Jerry is preceded in death by his grandparents: Henry and Alice Hoffman, Walter and Selma Voeltz, mother and father in law; Curtiss and Helen Booth, Brother in law Dennis Booth.
Jerry is survived by his wife Cheryl Hoffman; children Nathan (Shanna) Hoffman and Tammy (Derrick) Oberle; grandchildren Clayton and Emilyn Hoffman, Eli and Jaycie Oberle; parents William and Mabel Hoffman; brothers David (Theresa) Hoffman, Ron (Joyce) Hoffman and Neil (Annette) Hoffman; brothers-in-law Jeff (Sue) Booth, Butch Booth, Roger Booth and Warren (Kim) Booth; godchildren Bob Hoffman, Mitchell Booth and Josie Hoffman; nieces and nephews: Eric (Amber), Scott (Katie), Kyle, Alexa Hoffman (John), Chelsea, Hillary (Andrew), Josie Hoffman, Samantha (Kerry) Halopka, Mitchell (Haley) Booth, Cheyenne, Micci Booth, Matt and Brooklyn Booth, Christine, Jesse, Curtis Booth and Dennis Booth.
He is further survived by many other relatives and wonderful friends.
Celebration of life service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City with Reverend Diane House officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of service. Casual only, blue jeans preferred.
