Lillian Pearl Hainstock, 90 years 5 months, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 8, 2016.

She was born on April 10, 1926, in Bloomer, WI, to Richard (Charlie) and Edith (Boese) Rogge.

Lillian graduated from Colfax High School in 1944. On April 24, 1945, she married Lloyd Hainstock. Early in their marriage they farmed and in 1960 they owned and operated Lloyd’s DX in Colfax.

Lillian was a long time member of Colfax United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir, a member of United Methodist Women and Rachel Circle where she held many leadership positions; she was a Sunday School teacher and superintendent. Lillian was also a member of Colfax Merry Mixers and sang with the Red Cedar Sounds Sweet Adelines Chorus of Colfax.

Lillian loved to cook and bake, especially cookies for beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren and for visitors who stopped by to visit. Her red strawberry cookie jar always had cookies. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and keeping her beautiful flower gardens blooming. Lillian also loved to spend time fishing, playing cards – especially “Gotcha” – with family and friends. Camping at Myron Park was a special time on weekends whenever possible.

Lillian is survived by her beloved husband, Lloyd of 71+ years; her four children, Kathy (Ken) Tape of Colfax, Roger (Donna) Hainstock of Eau Claire, Rick (Nancy) Hainstock of Colfax, and Cindy (Tom) Knutson of Colfax; her precious grandchildren, Kari (Keith) Carlson of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Kurt (Melissa) Tape of Ellsworth, WI, Ellyn Hainstock of Elk Mound, WI, Laura (Mike) Ziehl of Menomonie, WI, Derick (Paulette) Hainstock of Baldwin, WI, Shanon (Ollie) Murray of Shorewood, MN, Kyle (Diana Roy) of Colfax, and Renee (Mat) Goodell of Colfax; her adored eleven great-grandchildren, Konnor and Kate Carlson, Meredith and Mitchell Hainstock, Jacksen and Levi Ziehl, Aubrey Hainstock, Cullen, Kinsley and Emma Murray and Kaysen Goodell. Lillian is also survived by sisters-in-law, Ruth Albricht, Bev Hainstock and Marge Seehaver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mildred Hagen, Lucille Gunderman, Fern Mathews and Ruth Peterson; and a brother Richard.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016, at the Colfax United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 4 to 8 pm at the church and again on Sunday, from 1 to 3 pm at the church. Sampson Funeral Home is serving her family.  Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting obituaries at
