Louis A. Myers, 91, of Bloomer, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Chippewa Valley in Bloomer.

Louis was born on March 27, 1925, in Bloomer, Wisconsin, to John D. Myers and Mary (Cervania) Myers. In 1966 he started Myers Septic and also worked at Chi-Hi High School in Chippewa Falls as a custodian for 15 years, he later retired in March of 1987.

Louis is survived by his children, David (Barbara) Myers, Joan (Bruce) Buresh, Robert (Mary) Myers, Donna Rubenzer (special friend George Clements), Doris (Dave) Ferstenou, Rhonda (Brian) Bleskacek, Wanda (Joel) McVinnie; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Nelson; a brother-in-law, Norm Anderson; a sister-in-law, Bernadette Anderson; special friends, Al Petersen and David Zwiefelhofer.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Josephine Myers; son, Paul Myers; two brothers, Roy Myers and Herb Myers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley, with Father John Potaczek celebrating the Mass. Burial with Military Honors rendered by the Bloomer VFW & American Legion will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Schriver-Thompson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
