Helmer “Ted” Edgar Seeger, age 88, of Prairie Farm, WI passed away Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 at his home.

He was born January 24th, 1928 to Harley & Mabel (Closs) Seeger at Boyceville, WI.

On September 27th, 1955, he was married to Pauline Link.  They lived in Reeve, WI before moving to Prairie Farm.  Ted worked on his father’s farm & later drove milk truck for Ralph Wilson.  He then did custodial work for the Moundsview, MN School District and was self-employed in custodial work for numerous companies in the twin cities area including Eastern Woolen Company until his retirement in 1989.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville, Lutheran Laymen’s League & the Prairie Farm Lions Club.  Ted was known for his quiet, gentle nature, as well as his willingness to help whenever needed.  He donated blood regularly, helped with cemetery mowing & volunteered often.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Marjorie Ramsey, brothers: Harry, Eldon & Norman Seeger, sister: Nancy Seeger & 2 infant siblings.  He is survived by his wife: Pauline of Prairie Farm, sons: Art (Dianne) Seeger of Oakdale, MN, Helmer Jr. “Teddy” (Kathy) Seeger of New Richmond & Todd (Beth) Seeger of Cameron, daughters: Jacquie Seeger (Bob Fisher) of Prairie Farm & Paula Seeger (Hadi) of Tempe, AZ, grandchildren: Tim, Tanya, Shannon, Courtney, Taylor, Stephanie & Shawn, great grandsons: Parker, Cole & one on the way, brother: Fred (Sharon) Seeger of Boyceville, sisters: Marian Burmester of Baldwin, Julia Breezee of St. Paul & Barbara Jaeger of Menomonie, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A Graveside Service was held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18th at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Connorsville with Rev. Karl Rose officiating.  Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
