Boyceville Ambulance Service honors retirees
The Boyceville Ambulance Service honored two of its members on their retirement from the service.
They honored Paramedic Jeff Johnson for his years of service and dedication. Jeff started his career in EMS 27 years ago in New York. He has worked for numerous agencies since then. He started with Boyceville in 2010.
According to the Service Director, Matt Feeney, Jeff was instrumental in helping transform the service into what it is today. His leadership and oversight has helped many of our new and old EMTs become the professionals they are. He retired in April.
Another person honored was Bob Marlette for his lifetime of service to the community. Bob was a founding member of the Boyceville Ambulance Service. He went on his first EMS call in 1973 before the service was formed.
It was that call that helped spur the idea and need for an ambulance. In 1974 that vision came to fruition according to Feeney.
Bob has been an active member of both the ambulance and fire department for over 41 years. Bob retired from the ambulance in the fall of 2015.
