Vergal A. Willert, age 94, of Woodville, WI died Monday, May 30, 2016 at Parkview Nursing Home in Woodville, WI with hospice.
Vergal was born November 22, 1921 in Prairie Farm, WI to Edgar and Maude (O’Flanagan) Seeger. She married Alvin Willert March 27, 1940 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Forest, WI.
Vergal worked at Glenhaven Nursing Home in Glenwood City for 20 years starting in the laundry and later on as a nurses aide. She was a good cook and enjoyed baking. Sunday dinners were a delight with family and friends. Vergal was a member of the birthday club and she enjoyed camping at Trats Resort.
Vergal is preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin, brother Oakley Seeger and sister Doris Hemauer, and son-in-law Don Debler.
Vergal is survived by seven children Sharon (Jon) Simpson of Gillett, WI, Twyla (Jim) Bakken of Chippewa Falls, WI, Vicki Debler of Baldwin, WI, Cindy (Eric) Caple of Oakdale, MN, Dawn (Dennis) Handlos of River Falls, WI, Allen Willert of Kernersville, NC and Craig (Diane) Willert of Woodville, WI; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 3, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Forest, WI with Pastor Bob Dahm officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood City, WI. Friends are able to call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
