Robert A. Bosshart, age 82 of Glenwood City, WI died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie, WI.

Bob was born October 5, 1933 in Boyceville, WI to John “Ole” U. and Nellie M. (Jones) Bosshart. Following high school he entered and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. Robert married Lois Mittlestadt May 29, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie, WI.

Bob owned and operated Bob’s TV and Repair and later worked as a lumber yard salesman and drove school bus. He spent several years on the “chain gang” at football games for the Boyceville Bulldogs. He enjoyed fishing, camping, roller skating and bowling. Bob loved watching his grandchildren in their sporting events. Bob was a caring, patient and tolerant man and they cared for 13 foster children over the years. Being an only child Bob considered his cousins as his siblings.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lois Bosshart of Glenwood City, WI; children Robert J. (Sally) Bosshart of Wilson, WI, Julie (Dan) Stansbury of Glenwood City, WI and Chris (Lisa) Bosshart of Red Wing, MN; ten grandchildren: Tyler (Aarynn) Bosshart, Kyle (Danielle Hartung) and Dylan Bosshart, Ross Stansbury, Courtney (Ricky) Brockmiller, Megan Stansbury (Brady Drinkman), Scott (Lindsey) Langhans, Ryan (Kayla) Langhans, Brady and Rachel Bosshart; seven great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, Carol Welk, Bill (Diana) Mittlestadt and Carolyn (Martin) Grivich. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glenwood City, WI with Father John Long as celebrant. Burial will be in the Tiffany Cemetery Boyceville, WI. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
