BARBARA JEAN ROBINSON

Barbara Jean Robinson, age 82 of Ladysmith, WI passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 with her family at her side at the Rusk County Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith, WI.

Barbara was born Sept 24, 1933 in Waukesha, WI to Frank and Hattie (Tanner) Norton. She attended school in Rhinelander, WI. Barbara married Gerald Dean Robinson on July 1, 1950 and they were married 48 years until his death in 1998.

Barbara ran a grocery store in Richfield, WI while Gerald delivered milk door to door. She enjoyed making crafts and going to craft shows with her daughter Jolene. She also owned and operated several cafes in the Boyceville area. She was an avid Nascar fan and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, daughter Bonita Robinson, brothers Glen and Robert Norton and sister Marge Foust.

Barbara is survived by children: Jolene (LaVern) Laberee of Glenwood City, WI, Dan (Nancy) Robinson of Eau Claire, WI, Sheila (Robert) Rudack of Conrath, WI, Marsha Bake of Conrath, WI and Doug Robinson (Shirley) of Chetek, WI; 32 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister Helen Millen of Duluth, MN; sisters-in-law Beverly Robinson of Burlington, WI, Mary (Robert) Schiffer of Jamestown, ND and Gale Robinson of OR. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, WI with Reverend Bradley Peterson officiating. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery Downing, WI. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 to noon. Local arrangements by the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI.
