TIM PAUL KISTNER

Tim Paul Kistner of Boyceville, WI passed away February 19, 2016 at Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire from complications of pneumonia.

Tim was born on December 29, 1952 in Menomonie, WI to Harlan, and Geneva Kistner. Tim attended Boyceville High School and graduated in 1971. After graduation Tim enlisted in the United States Army. He was part of the 2nd Armored Division where he was trained to drive tanks. Tim served from 1971-1974 when he was honorably discharged. Tim made his career as an auto body mechanic, he was an artist and used that talent in the paint booth.

He had a love of the outdoors, gun deer season was always a time to look forward to. Fishing was one of his favorite things to do, he would gladly sit in an ice shack, or on a boat seat with a cold Pabst and fish the day away. The fish seemed to flock to him as he always caught more than anyone else. Tim was known for his friendly nature, always open to meeting new people, and sharing stories. If you started a conversation with him, it was an open invitation to hear his many one liners and other jokes. Friends knew him as “Tim, or ‘Othy- big T, little i, little m, no ‘othy.”

Tim is survived by his three children; Brent Kistner of Colfax, Melissa (Mike) Wurtzler of Colfax, and Venessa (Timmy) Doss of Ward, AR; four grandchildren Samara Doss, and Trenton Doss of Ward, AR, Blake Wurtzler, and Brekan Wurtzler of Colfax; sister Carlyll (Ken) Linck of Janesville, brother Jerry (Beverly) Kistner of New Richmond, and sister Mary (Pete) Krueger of Wheeler as well as a niece, nephews, other relatives and his many friends.

Tim is preceded in his death by his parents Harlan and Geneva Kistner.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer, upon announcement we invite family and friends to share memories of Tim. Interment of the cremains will be in the Vanceburg Cemetery, Prarie Farm, WI.
