DCREA meeting features UW-Stout Chancellor Bob Meyer as speaker

UW-Stout Chancellor Bob Meyer was the featured speaker at a recent Dunn County Retired Educators’ Association (DCREA) meeting. He discussed challenges resulting from millions of dollars decreased state funding while  maintaining academic quality. Proudly, UW-Stout has a 97.1% graduation job placement rate.

The mission of DCREA is to support and uplift public education. DCREA also supports local charities. All retired educators (pre-school to university) are cordially invited to attend DCREA meetings. Meetings feature a guest speaker with a topic of interest to educators, as well as time for professional camaraderie.

Bi-monthly Monday noon meetings are held at the Menomonie Moose Lodge. Future meeting dates include March 21st and May 16th. If you are interested in learning more about DCREA, please call Tom Slupe at 715.235.4183.
