WILLIAM G. CREASER

William G. “Bill” Creaser, age 83, of Menomonie, WI passed away Sunday, Jan.3, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.

He was born February 2, 1932 in the Louisville area, Town of Dunn, Dunn Co. WI to George and Eunice (Decker) Creaser.

William married Janet M. Johnson on July 21, 1956 at Holden Lutheran Church, rural Colfax.  Together they raised two sons, John and James.

Bill farmed in partnership for over 50 years with his brother Richard on the Pleasant Valley Farm, Louisville, Town of Dunn.  While farming was Bill’s full time job, he also enjoyed snowmobiling, taking drives around the countryside looking at the many farms and crops.  He was supervisor on the Town Board for the Town of Dunn and also sold seed corn in the Downsville area for many years. Bill was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Downsville.

Bill is survived by his wife, Janet; two sons, John (Diane) Creaser and James (Karol) Creaser; grandchildren, Joseph (Jenna) Creaser, Jason (Chun) Creaser, Travis (Lacy) Creaser, Timothy Creaser, Kassondra (Kevin) Bryant and Kenny Creaser; great-grandchildren, Mariyah and Myranda Creaser, Tristan, Gideon and Jameson Bryant and Kingston Creaser; his brother, Richard (Marie) Creaser; as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Natalie “Tudy” (Irvin) Amundson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Downsville, with Pastor Dale Moe officiating.  There will be visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in the Town of Dunn, Dunn Co. WI.

Bill’s life, like his furrows, ran straight and true.
