WAYNE W. KING
Wayne W. King, age 69, of Spring Green, formerly of Menomonie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Greenway Manor in Spring Green, WI.
He was born on February 23, 1946 in Menomonie WI to Bill and Phyllis (Gibson) King. He grew up in the Knapp area and attended Menomonie High School. Wayne proudly served his country in the armed forces from 1965-66.
Wayne married Debbie Dyle on July 8, 1974 and together they raised four children and enjoyed traveling the U.S. Wayne and Debbie both loved children and even fostered a few before they had their own. After their children were grown they spent their winters in Yuma, AZ. Wayne was a story teller by nature and enjoyed the sunshine and good conversation at the dry lot in Yuma where he bought and sold travel trailers. He was also an avid card player and enjoyed the thrill of a big win at the casino.
Wayne is survived by his mother Phyllis King and four children: Tracy (James) Rupiper of Oneida WI, Stephanie (Evan) Lynch of New Richmond WI, Jacob (Charity) King of Baraboo WI, and Wayne King of Yuma Arizona.
Wayne was also survived by his adored grandkids Debra (6), Raquel (6), Grayson (4), Shay (4), Ruby (3), Liam (3), Emma (3), and Jacob (1); brothers Gary (Kathy) King, Bill (Shirley) King; sisters Susan (Richard) Cooper, Betty King, Marie (Terry) Dyle; sister-in-law Marlene King, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Bill King, his wife Debra King and two brothers Richard and Tom King.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Wanda King officiating. Burial will take place at Wilson Lutheran Cemetery, Twp. Cady, St. Croix Co. with military honors by Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
