BETTY LOUISE SANDERS HARP

Betty Louise Sanders Harp, age 78, formerly of Downing, WI died Monday, November 16, 2015 while residing at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie, WI.

Betty was born October 21, 1937 in Manitowoc, WI to Donald and Opal (Prine) Sanders. Betty graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1955. Betty married Eugene Harp July 29, 1955 in Downing, WI. at the United Methodist Church.

She worked at Montgomery Wards and Deluxe Check Printers in St. Paul, MN and for Connie’s Catering in Downing, WI in addition to her full-time job as a housewife and mother.

Betty enjoyed spending time with family, friends, entertaining at the holidays, playing bingo, cards and board games and collecting snowmen. She spent time baking, cooking, canning, sewing and quilting.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene; sons Donald and Dennis; brother Donald “Pinky” Sanders and sisters Carol Gabrielson and Donna Ernst.

Betty is survived by son and daughter Daniel (Teresa) Harp of Elk Mound, WI and Debra (Philip) Pettey of Hillsboro, OR; grandson Jordan Harp and grandaughter Jessica (Robert) Femling; sister Bonnie (William) White. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Boyceville, WI with Reverend Timothy Matthaei officiating. Burial was in the Mound Cemetery Downing, WI. Friends were able to call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one prior to services Friday at the church.
